Prime Initiative for Green Development

Prime Initiative for Green Development (PIGD) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Nigeria that focuses on addressing the challenges of climate change and promoting sustainable development. PIGD was founded in 2014 by a group of environmentalists who were passionate about protecting Nigeria's natural resources and promoting sustainable practices.

The organization’s work is centered around three core areas: advocacy, education, and community engagement. Through its advocacy efforts, the organization works to influence policy and decision-making at the local, state, and national levels. The organization conducts research, produces reports, and engages with stakeholders to promote policies that will reduce carbon emissions, increase renewable energy use, and protect Nigeria's vulnerable communities from the impacts of climate change.
