Mchinji Youth Action Movement (M-YAM)

Mchinji Youth Action Movement (M-YAM) is a newly established youth movement for young people, by the young people. It is established to advocates for positive change in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) among young people aged 10 to 29. This will be achieved in collaboration with other youth groups and organizations through focused programs. We exist to work towards achieving the following outcomes;

Improved policy and legal environment for addressing adolescent sexual reproductive health issues.
Increase young people’s knowledge and skills towards adoption of protective sexual behaviours

Scaled up youth friendly and integrated sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and HIV services for adolescents and young people through both static and outreach services

Strengthened young people’s (especially adolescent girls’) leadership and participation in programme planning, implementation and evaluation as well as in community and district development processes

Strengthened coordination, documentation and dissemination of strategic information, lessons learned and best practices at the community and district level.
