Halley Movement Coalition

Halley Movement was set up by end of 1989 as a result of a national campaign on ‘Battered Children’ in Mauritius and supported by partners including the Australian High Commission. The NGO was registered in 1990. Since then Halley Movement works with a multi stakeholder approach which includes the Government, CSOs, the business sector, academia and the media. It now enjoys the ECOSOC consultative status with the United Nations.
As from December 2018, Halley Movement has been elected as GA ECOSOCC member at the African Union Commission.
