SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENTAL AWAKE (SEA)

Sustainable Environmental Awake (SEA) was established in 2013 and certified as a Community Based Conservation Organization (CBO), offices located in Kasese district.

The organization has four thematic areas of focus including; Environmental Conservation, Economic Empowerment, Community Health and Institutional capacity strengthening.
SEA vision is to create a vibrant and attractive rural community through sustainable management of natural resources.

The organisation has successfully implemented various projects including: increasing the provision of clean energy in Uganda (2014-2016) specifically river bank/catchment management funded by NORAD through World Wide Fund Uganda country office (WWF UCO);
strengthening the role of civil society in delivering sustainable energy in Eastern and South Africa funded by SIDA; scaling-up rural electrification using innovative solar photovoltaic distribution models funded by European Union (EU) with support from World Wide Fund
Uganda country office (WWF UCO); sustainable conservation in schools supported by Wildlife Clubs of Uganda (WCU); advocacy for better community health project in Bugoye sub-county in collaboration with
ACODEV funded by PATH and USAID with the goal of creating improved quality and accessibility of social and health services in Rwenzori region, among others.
