Sunbeam Foundation

Sunbeam Foundation is is an educational institution that was set up to bridge the gap between children from elite environment and children from deprived communities. With this aim in mind it has in partnership with Sunbeam e.V Germany, succeeded in offering scholarships and sponsorship to over 500 students from kindergarten level to Junior high level. The package which includes fees, feeding, health and educational materials is given to assist children from Kokrobite, Oshiyie, Lamgba, Bortianor, Tuba and Aplaku which are all fishing and farming communities. With this package they are able to go to school for free and write their final examinations which is the Basic Education Certificate Examination so that they can also qualify to enter into Grade A senior High Schools and even to the university which will otherwise not happen because of their low financial status. Aside that, food aid and housing is also provided for those who very poor to even afford accommodation. It has also added to its sponsoring organisation GVI- Ghana whose main resposiblity is to help with children who have reading problems, girls empowerment among several others
