We Got Your Back Rwanda

We Got Your Back (WGYB) Rwanda is a Rwandan Non-Governmental Organization initiated in 2018 by young individuals who themselves faced gender inequalities and human rights violations in the neighborhoods they grew up in. Our core mission is to support vulnerable people including victims of gender-based violence, especially teen mothers and their children, people with disabilities, and other minority groups to feel safe and accepted as well as to educate their surrounding communities for inclusive, thriving, equitable, healthy, resilient, and more sustainable communities. Our activities are centered around the first 5 global Sustainable Development Goals (Goal1-No poverty, Goal2-Zero hunger, Goal3-Good health and wellbeing, Goal4 - Quality education, and Goal 5 - Gender equality) designed to be a blueprint for achieving a better and more sustainable future for all. We work with volunteers as a glue to hold a community together, create an impact, and connect ourselves to build a generational change and make the world a better place.
